Dr. Yang Wang
Yang Wang received the BS degree in applied mathematics from Ocean University of China in 1989, and the MS and PhD degrees in computer science from Carleton University and University of Alberta, Canada, in 2001 and 2008, respectively. He is currently working with IBM Center for Advanced Studies (CAS Atlantic), University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Canada. His research interests include big data analytics in clouds and exploiting heterogeneous multicore processors to accelerate the execution of the Java Virtual Machine.
Dr. Riham Elhabyan
Mengfei Peng is currently doing her Master's program in Computer Science at University of Ontario Institute of Technology(UOIT). She has completed her Bachelor‘s Degree in Computer Science at Hubei University of Economics in China in 2012, and then she came to Canada on August 2012 for learning Academic English at York University. Her research interest is in "Security Threats in Clouds: Black Hole Search and Intrusion Detection".
Robert Burden is currently completing his Masters in Computer Science. He received his Bachelors degree in Business and Information Technology specializing in Networking & Computer Security from the University Of Ontario Institute Of Technology (UOIT) in 2013. He has studied internationally at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Turku University of Applied Sciences (TUAS). As well has worked for BeaconWall Ltd. in Hong Kong SAR and as a visiting researcher at the TUAS business applications lab collaborating with Nokia, Oyj. R&D. His background is in video game development, with seven years of experience working for Digital Leisure, Inc. in various roles, most recently as IT Systems manager. His research interests are in human computer interaction and wireless networks.
Boqiang Niu is a graduate student in Computer Science at University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology from Century College, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2013. He has obtained a number of honors and awards at undergraduate period, such as Second Prize for Innovation Scientific Project of the University, scholarship for Holistically Developed Student (twice), outstanding Youth League Leader of BUPT and Second Class Scholarship of the University. His research interests TBD.
Hongbo Fang will be our group member in september, 2014. He was transfer from MITS program at University of Ontario Institute of Technology(UOIT). He expects to have his Master's study in Computer Science program at UOIT. He has computer science and technology background at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication. His research of interest to be decided.
Duo Lu is a graduate student in Computer Science at Carleton University. He received his Bachelor's degree in Information System & Information Management from Dong Bei University of Finance & Economics. He has obtained a number of honors and awards at undergraduate period.
